After a decade in the IT corporate world, I returned to art and found healing in collage — the quiet joy of bringing fragments together to create something whole. It became a way to slow down, listen inward, and express without needing words.
Since 2016, I’ve had the privilege of teaching nearly 30,000 students worldwide, encouraging artists to trust their intuition and create fearlessly.

The inspiration behind this class
This class grew out of a series of collage artworks I created over time using materials and imagery I naturally felt drawn to—old papers, fabric scraps, lace, stitching, vintage botanicals, birds, butterflies, nests. As the collection grew, I began to notice a story emerging.
– The butterflies represented freedom and becoming.
– The botanicals and trees spoke of grounding & growth.
– The birds and nests carried a sense of belonging and home.
Without planning it, these artworks reflected a journey I was experiencing myself—a movement from seeking validation outside of myself to trusting my own voice and creating from a place that felt true.
This class follows that same path: Wings, Roots, and Home.

Do I need previous collage experience?
Not at all. This class is designed to be approachable for both beginners and experienced artists. I’ll guide you through the entire process from creating your own vintage papers to building finished mixed media collage artworks.

Absolutely. Many students are drawn to vintage-inspired collage art but don’t know where to begin. This class breaks the process into simple, manageable steps so you can build confidence layer by layer.
Do I need the exact same supplies you use?
No. One of the things I love most about collage is its flexibility. You’re encouraged to use what you already have—papers, fabrics, lace, stitching, botanicals, found treasures, and favorite collage materials.

Is this class only about creating these specific projects?
No. While we’ll create several finished artworks together, the real goal is learning the 3-Layer Collage Process. Once you understand the process, you can apply it to art journals, artist books, tags, mixed media canvases, and future collage projects of your own.
Can I work at my own pace?
Yes. You can watch and revisit the lessons whenever it suits you and move through the projects at your own pace.
What if I don’t have a lot of art supplies?
That’s perfectly fine. Many of the materials used throughout the class are simple and inexpensive—old papers, book pages, tissue paper, fabric scraps, coffee, lace, and found natural elements.
Will I learn how to create my own vintage papers?
Yes. One entire module is dedicated to creating handmade vintage collage papers using coffee dyeing, watercolor, gesso, stamping, collage, and layering techniques. These papers become the foundation for all the projects in the class.
