This year, I’m committing to 100 days of collage to tackle the mountain of scraps—fabric, paper, and more—I’ve been collecting for ages. It’s time to turn chaos into creativity with 4×6 pieces.
I’m mixing fabric, paper, and textures—letting intuition lead the way.

Day 1 - Bloom
A small beginning, but full of promise. I started with the word bloom, layering soft pink scraps (used palette paper) that feel like petals unfolding. Torn edges, gentle textures—letting this piece mirror growth, transformation, and the beauty of simply beginning.

Day 2 - Warmth
Comfort can be deceiving. I built a soft, subtle background, then layered clusters that feel familiar, safe. The word warmth sits on top, wrapped in delicate white threads—like a cocoon, or a trap. Sometimes, what feels like warmth is just the comfort zone holding us back.

Day 3 - Collaged Dreams
Corrugated texture and a bit of lace—tied together with thread and layered over a collaged background. Just letting the materials do their thing, no overthinking, just playing. I love how it all comes together in unexpected ways.

Day 4 - Embrace the Mess
This collage is a reminder that creativity thrives in imperfection. Sometimes, the most beautiful things emerge from what we almost discard.
Earlier, I used to wash off the excess paint from my brush, but now I let it land on book pages, brown paper bags, or whatever scrap paper I have nearby. Over time, these inky, messy marks—once destined for the trash—become rich, layered collage papers.
Have u ever created collage papers just by wiping off paints?

Day 5 - Sacred Fragments
I’m starting to hear my own thoughts more clearly. While layering, I catch myself hesitating—afraid to lose what’s underneath, to cover something too beautiful. Every little scrap feels sacred, like it deserves to be seen.
But this process is teaching me to let go, to trust that nothing is truly lost. It’s funny how creativity brings up the things we don’t even realize we’re holding onto.

Day 6 - Explore
The ocean feels like freedom—vast, deep, and full of unknowns. That’s what this piece reminds me of. The blue scrap, stitched with a blanket stitch, feels like an anchor, something to hold onto and tangled threads hanging loose, like waves pulling in different directions.
Exploring isn’t just about going somewhere new—it’s also about letting go, allowing things to be unfinished, unwritten. It’s messy, uncertain, but maybe that’s where the beauty is.

Day 7 - Wild & Tender
There’s a quiet battle in my mind—this fear that maybe I can’t create anything beautiful, that maybe I’m just not good enough. It lingers in the background, whispering doubt with every piece I place. But as I build this collage, I realize something… Beauty isn’t about perfection. It’s about honesty.
This piece feels like that balance—wild in its rawness, tender in its quiet presence. Maybe I don’t have to prove anything. Maybe creating is enough.

Day 8 - Words Unspoken
Today, I’m taking you on a little peek into the story behind my scraps.
I started by gathering bits and pieces of scraps —each with its own story—and then formed them into clusters. I embellished these clusters with some stitches to give them a bit more life.
In this piece, I simply layered a new piece of paper underneath the clusters until one of them took over, becoming the whole artwork. The words “Words Unspoken” capture those silent stories that every scrap holds. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the quiet details can speak the loudest.
Enjoy the journey and let these unspoken words inspire your own creative explorations!

Day 9 - Whispered Layers
Today I’m switching things up a bit. Instead of one cluster, I decided to use two small clusters and layer them with horizontal strips of collage paper and scraps.
Each little cluster, with its subtle stitches and textures, has its own quiet voice. I love how these layers gently whisper their stories, adding a touch of mystery to the piece.
“Whispered Layers” isn’t just a phrase—it’s the heartbeat of this work, inviting you to listen to the gentle storytelling hidden in every layers. It feels like the artwork is having a soft conversation, and I’m really enjoying every bit of it.
