In my previous post, I talked about incorporating mark making into my morning music meditation and how challenging it was to maintain. So, I decided to cut the A3 sheets into A4 size and fold them to create an A5 journal, which is more manageable for daily work. I ended up with 12 A4 sheets and added a few other mark making sheets I had practiced on earlier. In total, I had 26 sheets, and I took one fresh sheet to make it 27. I divided these into three signatures of nine sheets each and stitched them together to create a journal.
For the cover, I used a piece of canvas cloth and did some mark making on it with a sponge dipped in black acrylic paint, along with some scribbles using a charcoal pencil. Inside, I attached another mark making paper that I had created with tree branches and added some hand stitches to it. Here is the final result.
